a fun way to announce a new baby is on the way

my simplewear shop has been super busy lately. with mother’s day around the corner, i’ve had lots of requests for my “loved and spoiled by” onesie to help announce a new pregnancy. these onesies will surely surprise all the soon-to-be grandparents as well as the soon-to-be aunties and uncles.

i’ve even had a custom request for a “i heart grandma & grandpa” based on my “i heart mom” and “i heart dad” designs.


i love the little addition of “coming soon december 2012” on this onesie. it makes the onesie that much more custom and special.

announcing the great moments of life

it truly is an honor to be a part of announcing such great moments in other people’s lives. especially when you’ve never even met them! but somehow through email correspondences and sometimes phone calls, you connect and when you get the opportunity to meet them for the first time in person, a big hug takes place of the professional handshake.

jean contacted me via email while she was still pregnant and we discussed birth announcements for her soon to be baby girl. talk about well organized and prepared! i love it!!! well a month later her precious rebekah was born and we were all set to begin the design process. jean loved the announcements i had previously done for landon and the sukharev twins, so we kept that similar layout and feel. she even hired jovana, of j luna photography, to take rebekah’s pictures.

i recently had the pleasure of creating these birth announcements for a client that fell in love with the sukharev twin’s announcements i did a few months back.  robin wanted a similar size and feel for the announcement of her new baby.

simplewear’s #1 fan

simplewear came to be, the day my nephew came to life.

the idea of decorating my sister’s baby shower with a string of clothespin hung baby onesies just wasn’t good enough for me.

as a graphic designer and owner of “in a card“, i knew i wanted to make each onesie extra special and very personal for my nephew. so the idea of individually styling the onesie and customizing each one came to be.

with so many inquiries on the customized onesies from the baby shower, i knew i had to pursue this idea.

and so, simplewear was created.

almost 4 years later, my sister FINALLY comes around to sharing pictures of my nephew wearing his first simplewear onesie. i guess, better late then never, right? lol…
