special invites for special occasions

i love getting emails that say, “i googled cupcake invitations, came across yours and I MUST HAVE THEM for my daughters birthday!”

actually, it’s always pretty amazing when someone emails me AND chooses me to create invitations for their special occasion because there are so many other options available online these days.

two of my fun birthday invitations got recreated once more recently.  first one, is based on debra’s casino night invites.

and the second one, is based on my niece’s 1st birthday cupcake themed party.

counting my blessings

a quote by Barry Neil Kaufman:

“Gratitude is one of the sweet shortcuts of finding peace of mind and happiness inside.  No matter what is going on outside of us, there’s always something we could be grateful for.”

as i turn thirty-two today, i am filled with so much gratitude…

grateful for all my amazing friends and incredible family that remind me not just today, but everyday, how truly blessed i really am.

a few things that made today extra special…

winter wonderland

my nephew is obsessed with penguins right now. not sure how or why, but for halloween he wanted to be a penguin and for his 5th birthday party, when my sister asked him what kind of party he wanted, he said, “PENGUINS!” so there you have it.  the inspiration to my latest invitation design…  a winter wonderland themed birthday party, complete with a little party penguin.

basic white envelopes are always fun to dress up with envelope icings and sticker seals!

little lady invite goes 3-d

i recently merged 2 invitation ideas into 1. i took the idea of my ladybug invitation i did last year and my little lady invitation and created this sweet little lady 3-d invitation.  each invitation was embellished with a medium sized wooden painted ladybug.

it’s a great compromise for those that don’t want to spend too much on invitations, but still want that little touch of unique.

interested in a special order of these 3d little lady invitations?  email me for more info.

up, up, and away…

those that know me, or know my blog, know how important thank you notes are to me. both sending them and receiving them. whether you write a novel expressing your gratitude or simply write those two gracious words, THANK YOU, it’s always wonderful to read.

there are always fun ways to send thank you notes.  a postcard style thank you is more casual and informal, but if it fits your theme and saves you time from writing a novel to each guest, then i say, why not? an added bonus, it saves you some money on postage too!

here is a thank you postcard i created for zac’s mom to send out after his 1st birthday party. party theme was from the disney movie, Up, if you couldn’t tell.
