here is mine and tee’s, costa rica, destination wedding inspired save the dates. save the dates are usually the first thing your guests receive that is anything wedding related so it’s really important on how you want to present yourself as a couple, perhaps the vibe of your wedding, but most importantly the main details of the event (who, where and when) so guests can start planning (especially if it’s a destination wedding). if additional details are required (travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, etc.), a wedding website is always a great thing to include.

this past weekend my mom and sister threw me a bridal shower and to describe it in one word… PERFECTION!
it was a kate spade inspired theme, from the black, white, and pink colors, to the dots, stripes and quotes scattered throughout the house. the bubbly was flowing, the ladies laughing, and my heart bursting with so much joy!
my sister had ideas she wanted to do for the invites. i helped her bring those ideas to life.
she printed, cut and assembled each invitation and i couldn’t be more proud of how beautiful they turned out.
the dessert table was filled with homemade goodies all baked by my sister. she sure did bake her little tush off with coconut macaroons, vanilla & coconut cupcakes, and both banana & zucchini bread!
ranunculus and baby spray roses in all shades of pink made for perfect floral arrangements throughout the house.
these adorable little signs were scattered throughout the house with some of my favorite kate spade inspired quotes.
my clients jana, from Jana Williams Photography and bess, from Celadon & Celery did a youtube video last year on how to make flower rings and i suggested this idea to my sister as a great little activity for each guest to do when they arrived. it was such a huge hit with all the ladies and definitely something i recommend if you want to offer a fun activity for your guests, but you’re not into the typical bridal shower games.
i chose a pink ranunculus flower for my ring, which matched oh-so perfectly with my pink heels. 🙂
i was showered with so many gifts and all the ladies agreed this was definitely one of the BEST wrapped gifts EVER!
thank you to all my family and friends that attended and showered me with so much love and well wishes on my journey to becoming a mrs. to feel, know, and have this amount of joy and love in my life is beyond words. the impressions these women leave on my life and in my heart makes me the woman i am today and the wife i will soon become.
thank you to my mom and sister for going above and beyond in throwing me the best bridal shower a girl could ever dream of.
thanks to my cousin joanie, for being such an awesome photographer and capturing so many amazing pictures. i swear there is not a single picture of me without a giant smile on my face that stretched from one ear to the other. i started to wonder what my eyes look like. ha!
…and purses! lots and lots of purses!
that’s the theme i decided to use to create this super fun and very girlie invite for miya’s 6th birthday party.
with a simple velcro closure, faux button embellishment and room to address each guest’s name on the front, this invite definitely kept the look and feel of a handheld purse. and since each invite was hand delivered, no envelope was necessary.
here is adorable miss miya modeling her invite.
thank you to mama kari for sharing this adorable picture with us!

so these past couple of months i’ve been dealing with THE most difficult client ever. myself. yes, i’m indecisive, very particular, and so demanding!
it’s been one of the most challenging wedding invitations i’ve had to design, but the most rewarding as well. the invites were finally mailed out this past friday. i must admit, i did get emotional as i walked out the door with these two boxes, got into my car, made my way to the post office and slowly handed off these invitations to the post office clerk.
the day finally arrived! the day i mailed my very own wedding invitations. insert happy tears (and dance) here.
