in the details

i’ve said it before, and i’ll say it again… it’s all in the details!  with every project i work on and every simplewear onesie i personalize, i make sure to pay attention to the details.  i think it’s what separates something from being just good, to something being great.  there are little details i include in my packages that i ship out to my customers.  some customers have noted those details with great enthusiasm and some may not have noticed it at all.  but either way, i will continue to include all those little details because i know how special it makes my product and i like knowing that with every order i put together and ship out, it really is made with lots of love and attention.

i like to stuff the bottom of my simplewear gift boxes with heart shaped tissue paper to add a little extra love.  thanks to this blog post, i’m not the only one that knows this now.  🙂

also, with every package i mail out i like to include my business card and a handwritten note expressing my gratitude.

what kind of little details do you notice and appreciate in your everyday life?

a fun way to announce a new baby is on the way

my simplewear shop has been super busy lately. with mother’s day around the corner, i’ve had lots of requests for my “loved and spoiled by” onesie to help announce a new pregnancy. these onesies will surely surprise all the soon-to-be grandparents as well as the soon-to-be aunties and uncles.

i’ve even had a custom request for a “i heart grandma & grandpa” based on my “i heart mom” and “i heart dad” designs.

i love the little addition of “coming soon december 2012” on this onesie. it makes the onesie that much more custom and special.

jessica, from SilhouPETte, creates these original and very special pieces of artwork of your pet’s silhouette with a vintage feel.  you can read more about her story and process here.  if you or someone you know is a pet lover, you’ll enjoy the time and attention she puts into each piece, leaving you with a silhouette image of your pet that you will cherish forever.

jessica contacted me about a packaging idea for her SilhouePETte jewelry line.  she pretty much knew what she wanted, the problem was she didn’t quite know where to go and also didn’t quite have the time to do the product research herself.  so here is where i come in.  🙂  jessica wanted to imprint her logo onto little jewelry pouches and have it all fit into a little box.  although this method of printing was a first for me, i knew that i’d be able to help jessica achieve the look and feel she was after.

after researching the product and printing methods, the final piece ended up being a soft beige drawstring pouch with her logo printed in gold foil.  each pouch will be packaged nicely in a brown kraft box, ready for gift giving.

make sure to check out silhouPETte.com to learn more about jessica and all the wonderful gifts & accessories she has to offer.  (great gift ideas for the holidays!)

new simplewear gift box

don’t you just hate when they discontinue your favorite nail polish or lipstick color???

well that is how i felt when my vendor was completely sold out of the boxes i use for my simplewear gift wrap. unfortunately, i haven’t been able to find those boxes anywhere! in stores or online! so what happens now? well you roll with the punches and find a new box.

meet the new simplewear gift box…

same cute packaging, a darker more “krafty” color but still holds those adorable simplewear onesies and tees! once again, available for purchase at my etsy shop.
