iphones, butterflies & decals

my cousin, stacy, came over yesterday and was showing me her new iPhone 5.  she had a simple black cover on it and was telling me how she wished it wasn’t so plain as it will easily get lost in “the black hole.”  aka: her purse.  of course, immediately, i said in my overly excited voice, “let’s decorate it with some decals!”

stacy decided on a butterfly design in, her favorite color, purple.  so here is the simple design i came up with and with mind’s eye design studio‘s help with the vinyl decal part… voila!  a newly decorated iPhone!

bent on fine wine

one of my favorite things about being a freelance graphic designer is the different opportunities and people i get to work with.  one day i can be working on marketing collateral for back-to-school kid’s school uniforms, next day photo retouching models in bikinis and once in a blue moon, i get the rare opportunity to work with a subject matter i enjoy on a regular basis… wine!

mind’s eye design studio and i are very excited to be collaborating once again on a new website project for Bent On Fine Wine. They are purveyors of fine wine from around the world and we will be helping them establish their online presence.

here’s a quick look into Bent On Fine Wine’s beautifully crafted cellar.

rows and rows of domestic and imported wines just waiting to be opened and shared.

this is a project where sipping on a glass of wine will most definitely be used for some creative inspiration.  stay tuned for updates on the website project.  cheers!

wystone’s world teas 2 go

mind’s eye design studio and i recently worked on a POP backer display for wystone’s world teas.  they are looking to expand their wholesale program by offering their premium loose leaf tea as a to go item for retailers.  here’s an image of the pop display that went up live today at russell’s convenience store in downtown colorado.

one of my favorite parts of this display is the original illustrations we created of the loose leaf tea paper bag and the to go cup using a combination of simple line art and digital images.

if you’re ever in the colorado area, you should definitely check out wystone’s tea cafe.  they have a tasty menu full of food and drinks.  and if you’re not local, you can always have their premium loose leaf teas delivered to your doorstep by ordering online.

welcome to our new home…

i’m so delighted that you’ve come to visit me at my blog’s new home.  it’s been a month long process, but i’ve finally settled into the new layout and am ready to be back online and blogging again.

if you haven’t already, feel free to kick off your shoes, get comfy and browse through the new website.  as you can see, i’ve updated the look of the entire site, added galleries with much larger images, a testimonials section and what i hope is a more user friendly navigation site. as always, i’d love to hear any comments and/or suggestions you may have.

a special thanks to the boyfriend and web guru himself, tee of mind’s eye design studio, for helping me build this new fabulous and super cute site, for being patient as i threw out more demands than hours in a day, and for being understanding of my “control issues.” 🙂  you’re the best and i’m grateful for you! ♥
